Description
MSHA IS SEEKING VENDORS THAT CAN PROVIDE 59 SETS OF THE FOLLOWING INSTRUMENT. SAMPLING PUMP SPECIFICATIONS MSHA Approved for intrinsic safety RFI/EMI shielded to comply with EN 55022, EN 50082-1, and FCC Part 15 Class B 5 to 3000 - 5000 ml/min constant flow range with + 5% accuracy Battery life capable of sampling for at least 14-16 hours at 1.7 liters per minute using a 37?mm diameter, PVC filter with 5 ? micron pore size Automatic fault shutdown with time retention Tamper resistant controls 34 ounces or less Supplied in 5 pump sets with: ? In Pelican case or equivalent ? Multi pump battery charger for units with rechargeable batteries ? Screw driver sets if applicable At least one year warranty for sampling pump and charger Environmental: Operates within tolerance at the following environmental factors: Temperature-10? to +50?C Operating -20? to +60?C Storage Relative Humidity: Up to 95% RH The following additional specifications are needed for industrial hygiene and occupational health sampling: Lighter weight ? 22 ounces or less Three-button keypad ? for simple operation Auto-restart from flow fault attempted every 5 minutes for a maximum of 10 times Must have built-in sensors which automatically maintain flow calibration by compensating for differences in temperature and atmospheric pressure during sampling 5-STATION BATTERY CHARGER SPECIFICATION Small, lightweight and portable (weight 1.1 lbs or less) Must accept Nickel-Cadmium (NiCad) and Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) batteries Must be able to charge other air sampling pumps Continuously monitors charging voltage and automatically switches to trickle mode when pump is fully charged Must use advanced technique so batteries never enter damaging negative delta V region The charger must include a power supply and wall adapter.
