- THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQS FOR XRAY AND LASER SHEAROGRAPHY VACUUM AND PRESSURE VAULT. Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. This notice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQs and a written amendment will not be issued. The purpose of this amendment is to insert some general questions and answers regarding the synopsis/solicitation. The due date for receipt of offers is not extended. Q: The description stated shielding for 459V primary, should this be 450kV? A: 450kV Q: Is the size of 10' X 20L X 8' H the clear exterior size? A: 10'W (outside) X 20'L (outside)X 8' (floor to ceiling inside height) Q: Does the glass window need to be leaded glass for radiation safety? A: Need leaded glass for secondary area Q: Is a quote requirred for the Lorad, Yxlon, Hamamatsu and Comet x-ray sets? A: No. The Xylon sources are being procurred and we have the Lorad and Hamamatsu. There are no plans for the Comet right now. Q: Is a quote requirred for the vault installation? A: Installation and checkout are part of the procurement Q: Is the current SOW requiring both Vacuum and Pressure at 4 PSI accurate? A: Yes, the current SOW is valid. Companies shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ posted on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS) on 4/25/2007. Documents related to this procurement are available over the Internet. These documents reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
