- Description
- The work consists of constructing an Intake Structure, on a cove at the end of a canal off the Rappahannock River located in Fredericksburg, Va., as shown in the drawings and as specified. Work includes site clearing, dredge cove/inlet to structure, earth excavation and cofferdam erection, construct inlet structure with screen, pump, sluice gate, piping, overhead manual hoist, etc., construct bituminous access road, construct shoreline protection, construct discharge pipe to tie-in to existing 16 pi pe inside the flume, construct water supply main to fire hydrant, perform site grading, and perform system operational test, demolish water pump control panel and conduit in existing pump station building, provide a reduced voltage motor starter/controller and associated conduit, wiring and hand holes from existing pump station building to new intake structure, and provide an electrical equipment rack with a light, receptacle and motor disconnect at intake structure. The construction duration is 365 calend ar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed. The magnitude of construction is estimated to be between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00.
