- The High Energy Laser-Joint Technology Office (HEL-JTO) intends to release a Broad Agency Announcement (BAA). The anticipated solicitation release date is June 2007. This BAA will request applied research and development proposals for high energy laser technologies in: (1) Beam Control, (2) Gas Lasers, (3) Free Electron Lasers, (4) Solid State Lasers, (5) Advanced Lasers and (6) High Energy Laser System Modeling & Simulation. The HEL-JTO intends to issue multiple contracts arising from proposals received in response to this BAA. The anticipated award date is February 2008. The HEL-JTO estimates that the total amount available for all initial awards is $20M.
