Description

To conduct a survey of 1847 participants from an earlier longitudinal investigation of Marine Corps recruits. The contemplated work herein is part of an on-going VA-funded research study. The current study is the fifth time point (T5) of a multiple time point longitudinal investigation that began during the start of participants' time at boot camp (T1), and occurs approximately ten years after the initial data collection during the first time point. In order to conduct these surveys, the Contractor will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including final formatting, printing, copying, and assembling of the survey instrument; locating the best possible addresses for the participants using a variety of resources and proprietary databases; obtaining/preparing, storing, and mailing incentive checks to participants; assembling and mailing materials to participants in multiple waves of contact as outlined by the VA research team; and maintaining stringent standards of confidentiality and data security. All work will be conducted within three years of award of the contract. It is the intent of the government to negotiate a sole source contract with Schulman, Ronca & Bucuvalas, Inc. to perform said services.
