- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number RFQ-0243061A is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This Solicitation document and incorporated provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-15. It is the contractor's responsibility to be familiar with applicable clauses and provisions. This RFQ is issued under full and open competition and is restricted 100% to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program as defined in the North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code 333314 and the small business size standard is 500 employees or less. Award will be made to one vendor. The Federal Bureau of Investigation has a requirement to purchase Infrared Illuminators to work in conjunction with Universal Night Sights (UNS). Illuminators shall have the following specifications: - Laser Illuminator PN# TRGLI1 - Laser 35mW 835nM - Boresightable and Focusable - Illuminator Focus from 1 degree to 8 degree Beam Width - 1.5vdc AA batter power (1) - Switch assembly to include: On/Momentary (pressure pad), Off - ARMS Throw lever mount - Waterproof to 20 meters Interested parties shall identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by submitting proposals to this office by 4:30 PM, EDT, May 15, 2007 to the address below, via facsimile to the attention of Ms. Andrea J. Campbell at 703-632-3574, or via email to andrea.campbell@ic.fbi.gov. The North American Industrial Classification number is 333314. This contract will be awarded as a commercial item in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation, Part 12. Telephone requests will not be accepted. Question: "I was just wondering if you knew who the manufacturer was for the specific Part Number on the solicitation." Answer: There is not a specific part number for this requirement. The items provided must meet the specifications as listed above.
