Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst NJ intends to enter into negotiations on a sole source basis with The Boeing Company, St. Louis, MO to procure performance based logistics support services specifically for the Reconfigurable Transportable Consolidated Automated Support System (RTCASS) and Self-Maintenance Automated Test And Calibration (SMAT/CAL) Test Set. The government intends to procure these services under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c) (1), FAR 6.302-1. The Contractor will be required to provide installation, maintenance, and support services necessary to ensure end item and component availability and/or performance for the RTCASS and SMAT/CAL Test Set. The period of performance will be approximately two years from the award date and will contain one (1) option for an additional year, for a possible total period of performance of approximately three (3) years. The government does not own sufficient data, drawings, software code or other specifications to permit full and open competition. All qualified sources are encouraged to submit a proposal, which may be used by the government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses should reference N68335-07-R-0128. A determination by the government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. The navy anticipates the award to be a cost plus fixed fee contract. No solicitation will be available for this procurement.
