SET-ASIDE: Total Small Business Set Aside SOLICITATION NO.: Q5530070043 DESCRIPTION: The work of this project includes furnishing and spreading crushed stone to cover surfaces for 6 roads (estimated total of 15.5 miles) and 5 parking lot surfaces (estimated total of 9,284 square feet). Project may also include a line item (depending upon funding) to provide an operator and motor grader to restore driving surfaces and drainage attributes of selected park gravel roadways and parking lots prior to furnishing and spreading crushed stone. All work areas are located within Mammoth Cave National Park. The National Park Service will award a single firm-fixed price construction contract to furnish all labor, materials, equipment and expertise necessary to perform all operations required for the successful completion of the above project to the contractor offering the lowest responsive, responsible quote to the Government. PROJECT COST RANGE: $25,000.00 TO $100,000.00 LOCATION: The project sites are located in Mammoth Cave National Park, Mammoth Cave, Kentucky 42259 (Edmonson County). Mammoth Cave National Park is located half-way between Nashville, Tennessee and Louisville, Kentucky near Interstate 65 in Edmonson County. QUALITY ASSURANCE: Any required permits shall be acquired by the contractor. The contractor shall be experienced with work as described above and the contractor shall show prior work evidence of related work. The NAICS code for this project is 237310 and the small business standard is $31.0 million. This procurement is a Request for Quotations (RFQ) and is subject to the provisions of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Construction and Part 36, Construction. A pre-bid site inspection will be scheduled for all interested parties with the time and date to be announced in the Solicitation instructions. Quotes will be due 21 calendar days following the issuance of the solicitation.
