- The government intends to award a contract on a sole source basis to LMA North America, Inc., 4660 La Jolla Village Drive Suite 900, San Diego, CA 92122. This requirement is for (5) LMA CTrach units, the CTrach enables ventilation during intubation a ttempts while built-in fiberoptics provide a direct view of the larynx and real time visualization of the ET tube passing through the vocal cords. The U.S. Army Health Care Acquisition Activity (HCAA), Great Plains Regional Contracting Office (GPRCO), Fort Sam Houston, Texas intends to award the contract to provide the CTrach units for the Department of Nursing Science, Army Medical Department (AMEDD) Center and School, Fort Sam Houston. This is a sole source award. The GPRCO intends to solicit and negotia te only with LMA North America, Inc., 4660 La Jolla Village Drive Suite 900, San Diego, CA 92122 under the authority 10 USC 2304 (c)(1). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 339112. The Contracting Officer is Mr. Sharod Holmes, (210) 916-9184, email sharod.holmes@amedd.army.mil. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to t he requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publicati on of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
