- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number RFQ-0242919 is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This Solicitation document and incorporated provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-15. It is the contractor?s responsibility to be familiar with applicable clauses and provisions. This RFQ is issued under full and open competition and is restricted 100% to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program as defined in the North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code 334220 and the small business size standard is 750 employees or less. Award will be made to one vendor. The Federal Bureau of Investigation has a requirement for a Handheld COFDM Receiver with built-in video monitor. The receiver shall have 4.4-5 GHz, IDX and include RX, DBC, Antenna, Batteries, Charger, and Case. Interested parties shall submit their quote for this requirement to this office as addressed below by 4:30 PM, EDT on May 16, 2007, or via facsimile to the attention of Ms. Andrea J. Campbell at 703-632-3574, or via email to andrea.campbell@ic.fbi.gov. Questions Received and Answered: (1) Is there a pre-existing Transmitter? Is a transmitter quote needed also? Yes, there is a pre-existing transmitter. We do not need a quote for a transmitter. (2) Is there a size constraint to the receiver? If so, what is the desired size? The receiver needs to be hand carriable and be able to easily fit into a backpack. The receiver also needs to be able to operate in a real-time tactical environment. (3) What is the quantities should be included in the quote? Quantities will be dependent on cost per unit. (4) Is it possible to communicate directly with the technical contact for this project?
