Description
The Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) intends to issue a competitive solicitation for the procurement of Tactical Handheld Radios (THHRs) and support services. The THHR provides the Marine Corps with a standardized, secure, multiband (30-512 MHz), voice and data, tactical, handheld radio to meet the needs of small unit operations (squad, platoon, company). The THHR will also provide a dual vehicle radio system to replace the AN/VRC-88 and AN/VRC-89. The dual vehicle radio system should include the following: A Dual Vehicle Adapter with dual hand held radios that are Software Communications Architecture compliant and National Security Agency Type 1 certified and have a non-reflective exterior finish. Systems shall include equipment manufacturer operator?s manuals and software. Shipment of systems to various Marine Corps Installations in the continental United States is required. The Government anticipates awarding a Firm Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Qua ntity single contract or multiple contracts resulting from this solicitation. For any contracts awarded under this action, the minimum dollar value of each contract will be $25,000,000. The maximum dollar value of each contract will be $550,000,000. If multiple contract awards are made, the total Government obligation will not exceed $550,000,000. The period of performance will consist of a 5-year ordering period. The Government release date of the solicitation is projected for mid to late May 2007. All terms and conditions will be identified in the solicitation. This solicitation will be available to interested parties through both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) and Navy Electronic Online (NECO) websites (http://www.fbo.gov and http://www.neco.navy.mil , respectively). It is the responsibility of the interested parties to independently watch both of the websites for updates to any and all documents. Potential offerors are responsible for downloading their cop y of the solicitation and amendments, if any. A written solicitation a nd amendments will not be issued. In order to be eligible for award, interested parties must be registered into the Central Contractor Database (CCR). The website for CCR is http://www.ccr.gov . PLEASE DO NOT CALL THE CONTACT POINT LISTED ABOVE. A due date for questions and/or clarification will be included into the solicitation. No telephonic responses will be accepted.
