Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate on a non-competitive basis with King Nutronics Corporation, Woodland Hills, CA for the Repair of Calibration Standards Equipment in the Navy inventory. The equipment includes the following: 3666-10K-3 Pressure Standard, Qty 540; 3688A Pressure Standard, Qty 200; 3689A Pressure Standard, Qty 200; 3604 Thermo Unit, Qty 20; 3605 Thermo Unit, Qty 20; 3695 Torque Force Unit, Qty 10; 3712 Pressure Standard, Qty 10. This repair action will also include the implementation of engineering changes in existing equipment. There will also be a teaming effort by the King Nutronics engineering staff and Navy counterparts in analysis of subsequent repair data during the term of the contract. The teaming projects will not exceed 4 per year for a total of 20 over the life of the contract. The required procurement is in support of the METCAL Standards program. This effort will be an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract for a period of 5 years. The Government intends to procure the above items under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), FAR 6.302-1. The Government does not own current data, drawings, or other specifications to permit full and open competition. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal in writing that may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
