Description

The Naval Air Systems Command intends to award an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract for Directional Infrared Countermeasure (Department of Navy DIRCM) for the U. S. Navy to Northrop Grumman Corporation Electronic Systems, Defensive Systems Division, on a sole source basis. The IDIQ Contract will be a Base Year plus four Option Years. The DON DIRCM Prime Mission Equipment requirement consists of up to 155 AN/AAQ-24(V) DIRCM Systems. This system includes the following components: AAR-54 / MIMS Missile Warning System Sensors Systems Processor Inertial Navigation System Smart Cards Miniature Pointer Tracker Assembly (MPTA) Transformer Rectifier Unit (TRU) Support Equipment Contract Logistics Support This effort is being awarded on a sole source basis to Northrop Grumman Corporation Electronic Systems, Defensive Systems Division, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 because Northrop Grumman is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the equipment addressed in this synopsis and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. In addition, Northrop Grumman owns a technical data package that is required for production of this equipment.
