Description
The purpose of this amendment is to answer the following questions: Questions and Answers 1. What type and quantities of dispensing units are required? 1 remote dispensing unit powered by a 3/4 hp submersible pump with pump controller. 2. Are the dispensers to be mounted on the tank or on an island at grade? The dispenser will be located next to the tank. The pump goes in the tank and the fuel is piped over to the dispenser that will sit at grade. 3. How will the tank be filled? Will it require a ladder and platform or a remote fill port? The tank will be filled at a remote fill port. This was not included in the initial specification and the costs associated with the addition of a fill port will have to be determined. The remote fill port will allow the driver of the fuel truck to unload the fuel at approximately waist level. He/she will not have to ascend ladder/stairs to reach an elevated platform to pump the fuel into the tank from the top. 4. Will the electrical conduit and wire will be provided at the tank pad? Will additional conduit and wire need to be provided by the contractor to connect the fuel management system to the dispensers? The government will provide electrical conduit at the tank pad. However, the contractor will need to provide additional conduit to connect the fuel management system to the dispensers. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (01-MAY-2007); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
