Description
Non-instructional contractor shall provide class monitor services for the Education Services Center, Goodfellow AFB for classes conducted at bldg 320 for evening instruction. Contract will be begin 14 April 2007 or as soon as posible after that date, once approved. See SOW for clarification of duties involved. STATEMENT OF WORK FOR CLASSROOM MONITOR - WEEKNIGHTS 1. GENERAL: The non-instructional Contractor shall provide class monitor services for the Education Services Center, Goodfellow AFB for classes conducted at Building 320 and other facilities used for evening instruction. The contractor shall (1) lock up building and monitor building during 1700-2200 (2) insure that the instructors have required teaching aids, (3) accept messages from instructors and students, (4) accept incoming telephone messages for personnel attending classes, and (5) receive and transmit incoming official notifications/announcements from key base or emergency services personnel. 2. SCHEDULE OF SERVICES: An estimated total of 208 units are required for FY07 (Performance period shall commence 1 week from date of award through 30 Sep 07.) The contractor shall be physically present to perform services between 1700 and 2200 hours Monday through Thursday unless otherwise mutually agreed to in writing by the Contracting Officer Additional services may be required some Fridays for class make-up dates. The Education Services Officer or designee will notify contractor at least 24 hours in advance of a Friday work requirement. For the purpose of this contract, session and unit may be used interchangeably (see ?Definition of a Unit?). The typical session is five hours duration (1700-2200, Monday-Thursday). The contractor must complete and submit the night monitor checklist for each session of service. 3. SERVICES REQUIRED: Contractor shall open classrooms of building 320, and other facilities used for evening instruction prior to the commencement of evening classes. Contractor shall secure the buildings, ensuring all windows have been closed, lights are out, classroom doors closed. Contractor shall restore the classrooms in a format suitable for daytime instruction, to include but not limited to: a. Tidying-up of classrooms and immediate outside area b. Ensure term schedules/classroom schedules are posted on the first night of each term. c. Secure audiovisual equipment when required d. Direct students to appropriate rooms on the first two nights of each term. e. Conduct periodic checks of hallways and entrance(s) to ensure that only authorized personnel are in the building f. Take note and relay specific messages to students, as well as post notices when instructors are to be delayed to class or when classes are canceled. g. Coordinate with Education Services Officer (ESO) or designee regarding classroom scheduling and relay messages from instructors to Education Center staff as appropriate. h. Initiate emergency work orders through Civil Engineering and notify Security Police of buildings unable to be secured due to damage or disrepair i. Notify Security Police of disruptive student behavior or acts of vandalism. Annotate AF Form 302 in classrooms, as appropriate. j. In the event that permission has been granted for use of facility beyond contractor scheduled departure time, information shall be documented by contractor to include name of person(s), institution affiliation, departure time, and any other pertinent information and reported to the Education Services Officer not later than 0830 the following morning. k. Complete ?duties checklist? after each session and file in Classroom Monitor Logbook. l. Have a working knowledge of the Classroom Monitor Logbook. 5. Contractor shall provide a back-up person to fulfill the duties of this contract upon inability to perform a scheduled session. Contractor shall notify the ESO within a reasonable amount of time if unable to carry out a specific session. The back-up person to include their qualifications must be approved by the ESO prior to acceptance except in the case of an emergency. If an emergency arises, the ESO must be able to provide staff to cover this position and the contractor shall not be entitled to payment of services not performed. This checklist must be accomplished for each session and turned in with monthly invoice no later than 3 days after the end of the month for which payment is being requested. Failure to comply will result in delay of payment. I CONFIRM THAT ALL REQUIREMENTS LISTED ABOVE HAVE BEEN SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED.
