- Description
- SW-1. Scope and Location of Project. This work is to be preformed along the Illinois Waterway, between River Miles 134.0 to 137.0 and 144.5 to 148.0, in Tazewell County, Illinois, at five dredged material placement sites, and one site along the Mi ssissippi River at RM 471.0, in Scott County, Iowa. The work is of moderate size and routine for firms engaged in this type of work. The work is expected to use the appropriate equipment designed for this purpose. SW-2. Purpose of Work. The purpose of the work is to control and/or eradicate broad leaf weeds, shrubs, and trees from inside the dredged material placement sites. The uncontrolled growth of such plants interfere with the placement, and potential benef icial use of the dredged material. Grasses that are part of the flood control levee and placement site perimeter containment system are to remain un-effected. SW-3. Description of Work. The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, and supplies necessary, as well as executing the work.
