- U. S. Army Sustainment Command (ASC) has a requirement for a fail over microwave system that provides the redundancy within the network should any fiber link be rendered useless for any period of time between core buildings. The CAAA network is land based running fiber to main hubs and fiber to downstream buildings in a star topology . Contractor shall design and provide all materials and labor to provide an adequate fail over microwave system that provides necessary redundancy for existing system a t CAAA, Crane, IN. This acquisition is issued on an unrestricted basis. The RFQ will be posted under solicitation number W52P1J-07-Q-3010 to the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) Acquisition Business Website, http://acquisition,army.mil on or before 1 0 May 2007 with a closing date of 40 days from the date of this synopsis. A site visit will be required. No electronic bid response will be accepted. This contract will be under NAICS 517310. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price contract. All contractors who provide goods/services to the Department of Defense (DOD) must be registered in the Central Contractors Register (CCR). If you are not registered in CCR, you cannot be awarded a DOD contract. You may register via the Internet at http://ww.ccr.gov. At this same site you must register in ORCA. Interested firms are invited to submit Quotations after this solicitation is posted to the we b. Amendments applicable to this solicitation will be posted to the web. It will be the responsibility of the contractors to check these websites for the issuance of this solicitation and any changes. No hard copies are available.
