- Description
- The Government intends to procure the following commercial item: 120 each Part No. Q20 HD GPS Modules from QinetiQ, Inc., Arlington, VA. Redstone Technical Test Center will utilize these GPS modules in the fabrication of instrumentation systems fo r Hellfire missile systems. These assemblies must be built from an existing and proven drawing package. QinetiQ is the only approved vendor for the required GPS modules for the Hellfire program. No other manufacturers other than QinetiQ can provide thes e modules without being qualified, which represents a substantial duplication of costs that would not likely be recovered through open competition. Additional installation expenses and man-hour costs would result from purchasing equipment that does not in terface with the existing equipment. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be fully considered by the agency. Point of contact is Chad E.
