Description
CLASSIFICATION CODE: 17 - Aircraft Launching, Landing, & Ground Handling Equipment The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items necessary to perform contracted services, unless specified as provided by the Government. Contractor tasks include: Provide a hydraulic lift suitable for use in contingency operations. The lift will be used to demonstrate the feasibility of receiving rolling stock and pallet trains from the Halvorsen 25K Loader and transfer the cargo to ground level. The contractor shall conduct the tasks necessary to modify a commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) article and demonstrate its utility. Specific tasks will include performing technical studies and analysis, unit design and fabrication, demonstration planning and execution, and project management. This is a commercial acquisition. This solicitation is a request for proposal and is issued as 100% Small Business competitive under Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code 3537, NAICS code is 333924 and the related Small Business Size Standard is 750 employees. The solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-16. The proposed performance period is a no longer than 7 months from the date of contract award. All potential sources must obtain a DUNS number and register in the Central Contractor Register (CCR) in order to transact business with the government. Failure to obtain a DUNS number and register in the CCR may result in the delay of award of a contract or possible award to the next otherwise successful offeror who is registered in the CCR at the time of award. Solicitation will be issued on or about 8 May 2007. Due date will be stated in the solicitation. The entire solicitation will be made available only on the Electronic Posting System (EPS) Website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The solicitation can be accessed by following the links on the EPS website to: USAF Offices, Air Mobility Command, 305 CONS. Paper copies will not be available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to this solicitation. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered by the agency. All prospective offerors interested in submitting a proposal on this solicitation must have a Commercial and Government Entity code (CAGE code).
