- The 1st Contracting Squadron, Langley AFB, VA is in the process of determining the acquisition strategy for a requirement to provide Base Training and Education Services (BTES) at Langley AFB. The BTES operates within the 1st Services Squadron. The contractor shall provide services in accordance with the attached draft Statement?s of Work (SOW). It is anticipated that the period of performance for this contract will be 01 October 2007 to 30 September 2008. Four additional option years may be exercised extending the period of performance until 30 September 2012. NAICS Code 611710 is applicable to this effort, which has a small business threshold of $6.5M. The government is seeking information and comments from industry on various topics that will be used to refine the requirement and acquisition strategy to include the following: (a) The government is contemplating a firm fixed price type of contract to fulfill this requirement based upon previous acquisition history. (b) Initial research indicates this service is commercial in nature. (c) This requirement may be set-aside for certified 8(a) small business. (d) The government is contemplating either a single award for all three functions (Test Administrator, Computer Support and Distance Learning Administrator) or a split award with one contract for the Test Administrator and the other contract for the Computer Support and Distance Learning Administrator. Please respond back as to your company?s ability to provide the services as listed above. FUNDS ARE NOT PRESENTLY AVAILABLE FOR THIS CONTRACT.
