- Description
- The Air Combat Electronics Group (PMA-209) of the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIRSYSCOM), located at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Maryland intends to issue a class of orders under a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) with Honeywell Defense & Space Electronic Systems, 13350 U.S. Highway 19 North, Clearwater, Florida, 33764. This BOA will be negotiated on a Sole Source basis with Honeywell, Defense Systems, in accordance with FAR Subpart 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Honeywell is the original software and hardware designer, developer and sole manufacturer of the H-764G family of Embedded Global Positioning System Inertial Navigation System (EGI) presently installed in several Navy and Marine Corps aircraft and ships. The services and supplies to be procured from the contractor include engineering and logistics services necessary to continue to integrate EGI Systems into retrofit and production United States Navy, Marine Corps and Foreign Military platforms including the H-1, F/A-18, EA-18G, LCAC, C-2A, E-2C, CH-46E, H-53, V-22, C-130, VH-60N, VH-71A, and other aircraft as applicable. These engineering and logistic services will include support to platform prime integrators and Fleet Support Teams (FST), modification and development of software in the EGI System to facilitate necessary functionality as directed by the Chief of Naval Operations, software maintenance, flight test support, and the procurement of test article kits.
