- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District is issuing this Sources Sought Announcement to determine the interest, availability, and capability of 8(a), HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, and Small Business concerns. The work involv es marine monitoring capabilities (5 or more years of experience) to include marine precision navigation; single-beam and multi-beam offshore bathymetric surveying; side-scan sonar surveying; sediment profile camera surveying; physical oceanographic monito ring (multi-sensor instrument arrays, including current profilers/meters, pressure gages, optical backscatter); conductivity/temperature/density measurement and interpretation; marine water quality sampling and interpretation; benthic community sampling an d interpretation; sediment coring; sediment chemistry sampling and interpretation; sub-bottom profiling. Data Management Capabilities (3 or more years of experience)to include database development and management using Oracle; visual basic programming; ArcV iew project development; Arcview tool development; web site development and maintenance. Report Preparation Capabilities (5 or more years of experience) to include multidisciplinary survey reporting and public information reports and fact sheets. Intereste d firms should submit a capabilities package to include the following: business classification size (e.g. 8(a), HUBZone, etc.), qualifications and experience in performing the work requirements stated above. The NAICS Code is 541690 with a Small Business Standard of $6,500,000.00. This notice is for information purposes only and is not a request to be placed on a solicitation mailing list nor is it a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an announcement of a solicitation. Responses are required no later than 7 Ma y 2007. Submission should not exceed 10 pages. Responses should be addressed to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District, 696 Virginia Road, Concord, MA 01742-2751, ATTN: David Dilks (CT-C). Firms interested shall provide the above docume ntation, in one original form and one copy. The government will not pay for any material provided in response to this market survey nor return the data provided. The results of this survey will be considered to be in effect for a period of one year from the date of this notice.
