- The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate a firm-fixed priced under commercial item acquisition procedures with Remington Arms Corporation, PO Box 700, 870 Remington Drive, Madison, NC 27025 under RFQ #0282003. This notice will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) Website (www.fedbizopps.gov). Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FBO site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Remington Arms will provide the following firearm repair parts: 1) #92447, Magazine Spring Police (Long) 12 Gauge ? QTY ? 1000; 2) #92949, Slide Assembly, 12 & 16 Gauge ? N/S ? QTY ? 100; 3) #102203, Trigger Plate Assembly ? 12 gauge, Mate Pol ? QTY - 300; 4) #21072, Magazine Tube Assembly, 12 Gauge ? QTY - 20; 5) #24599, 12/14? Mod, Park Barrel w/ Tritium Rifle Sights ? QTY ? 250. Based on market research conducted and contacts made with knowledgeable individuals within the government and the related-industry, it has been determined that only Remington Arms brand firearms repair parts can be utilized for specific Remington Arms firearms. Remington is the only provider of the required parts. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations, however, interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement or submit quotes to this office by 2:00PM, EST, Monday, April 30, 2007, or via facsimile to the attention of: Renee L. Braun, Contracting Officer, at (703) 632-6427. Information received, will be solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This procurement will be conducted on an unrestricted basis. The contract will be awarded as a commercial item in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation, Parts 12 and 13.5. The awardee shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration Database and also the Online Representations and Certification (ORCA) at http://orca.bpn.gov.
