- The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) and PMW 180 is seeking information that will help the SYSCOM refine its current approach to the (1) basic contract requirements for the design, prototype and testing of the Naval Integrated Tactical Environmental System - Next Generation (NITES- Next); (2) Option 1 requirements for the production of NITES-Next; and (3) Option 2 requirements for providing initial product baseline fielding support. It is requested that industry review the attached draft Statement of Work (SOW) and System Performance Specification (SPS) (posted at SPAWAR E-Commerce website) for NITES-Next and provide comments as to the Government's requirements including, but not limited to: completeness, technical feasibility, any potential data right issues; as well as provide responses to the questions listed in Section 3.1 of this synopsis. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes. It does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This RFI does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, SPAWAR is not at this time seeking proposals, and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Industry Day Requirements Briefing. SPAWAR and PMW 180 will host an Industry Day Briefing on 6 February 2007 at NAS NORTH ISLAND (Naval Pacific Meteorology and Oceanography Center, Bldg. 14, Saufley Street, NAS North Island, San Diego, CA 92135) from 8:00 a.m. PST to 10:00 a.m. PST to answer questions and brief requirements with participants. NOTE: THIS NOTICE MAY HAVE POSTED ON FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (22-JAN-2007).
