- NOTE: Any prospective Offeror interested in obtaining plans and specifications for this solicitation must register on our website at https://www.fedteds.gov . Contractors may view and/or download this solicitation and all amendments from the Internet after solicitation issuance. Description of Work: Construct a Weapons Release Shop (1543 SM) of reinforced concrete foundation and floor slabs, metal stud walls, insulated maintenance free exterior, standing seam metal roof, hoists, grounding systems, force protection system, utilitie s, parking, access road and site improvements. Facility space includes a gun and/or ejector unit cleaning room, maintenance offices, dispatch office, bench stock room and storage space for test equipment, alternate mission equipment, spare gun system and m obility equipment in addition to normal shop space. Facility also includes communication, fire suppression and all other support necessary to provide a complete and usable facility. Project will comply with all DoD force protection standards and includes a ir conditioning. Construct a Fuel Cell Hangar (2404 SM), 2 bay, reinforced concrete foundation and floor slab, structural steel frame with insulated metal walls, standing seam metal roof; oil-water pollution control system, fire detection and suppression system, explosion proof lights, electrical outlets, HVAC system, utilities, site improvements, landscaping, paving and parking. Facility includes specialized shop areas, latrines, mechanical room, administrative space, a tool issue room and all other suppo rt necessary to provide a complete and usable facility. Includes force protection to meet DoD force protection standards and air conditioning. Construct a A-10 Engine Trim Pad (3200 SM), Omni-directional reinforced concrete trim pad, high capacity anchor b locks with access pavement, steel anchors, rebar, commercial shackle components and any other item or items necessary to provide a complete and usable facility. Pad must allow for 360 degree rotation around a center pivot point with an A-10 specific dead-m an anchor bolt. Project will comply with all DoD force protection standards. This project will be solicited and procured using a best value Performance Price Trade-off Request for Proposals (RFP) in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 15.101-1. The contract will be Firm Fixed Price. Offerors are required to s ubmit a price and technical proposal. Each proposal shall contain the offerors best technical proposal and best price. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $10,000,000.00 and $25,000,000.00 Network Analysis will be required. This solici tation is issued on an unrestricted basis pursuant to the Business Opportunity Development Reform Act of 1988 (Public Law 100-656). Options may be included in the contract. This solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and will be availabl e on or about 15 January 2007 on the Internet at https://www.fedteds.gov . Notification of amendments will be through use of the Internet. No additional media (CD-ROM, floppy disks, faxes, etc.) will be provided. It is the Offerors responsibility to ch eck the Internet address provided as necessary for any posted changes to this solicitation and all amendments.
