- The United States Mint is exploring opportunities to increase and optimize circulation of dollar coins. The United States Mint is seeking information from firms with experience in marketing to and promoting for retailers and other businesses likely to use and/or distribute dollar coins. As an initial step in this exploration, the United States Mint is interested in receiving information from companies with capabilities and experience in business-to-business promotions and retail marketing on a national scale. The United States Mint is requesting literature (two pages/1,000 words maximum), that will demonstrate the vendor?s capabilities and experience in this area, commercial prices lists (if available), and references (company name, point of contact, and phone number). This literature should be delivered via email to PSB2@bpd.treas.gov, no later than close of business (COB) Thursday, April 26, 2007. No additional information is requested at this time. Sources meeting expectations may be asked to present and elaborate on their capabilities in person. Please note that this information is being requested for information and planning purposes. The Government does not intend to award a contract based on the information provided or otherwise pay for the information requested. Please note, in accordance with 31 U.S.C. ?5136, no provisions of law governing procurement or public contracts are applicable to the procurement of goods or services necessary for carrying out Mint programs and operations.
