- The US Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District, and Charleston Contracting Office will be posting a Request for Proposal for Maintenance Dredging in Naval Weapons Channel and Goose Creek, Berkley Counties, South Carolina. The contractor will be r equired to perform maintenance dredging of approximately 911,000 cubic yards of unclassified material from Naval Weapons Station Channel which shall be deposited in the Yellow House Creek Disposal Area and approximately 5500 cubic yard of unclassified mate rial from Goose Creek shall be deposited in the Naval weapons Station Disposal Area, Berkeley County, South Carolina. The work includes complying with the requirements of the Endangered Species Act and Marine Mammals Protection Act. MAGNITUDE OF WORK is $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. The applicable NAICS code is 237990 with a size standard is $18.5 Million. This will be a 100% small business set aside and only small business concerns will be considered for award. This Request for Proposal will be procured usi ng the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA Source Selection Procedure. The evaluation factors will be price, past performance, and specialized experience. Contractor must be registered in the DOD Central Contractor Registration (CCR) prior to award of this solicitation. The solicitation and any subsequent amendments will only be available in electronic format, downloadable from the internet. No CD-ROMs or hardcopy documents will be distributed. Offerors must be registered in the CCR and at the Feder al Technical Data Solution (FedTeDS) Homepage (https://www.fedteds.gov/)in order to view or download the solicitation documents. It is the responsibility of offerors to monitor the website for notices and amendments. The solicitation will be posted on or a bout 1 May 2007 with offers due on or about 31 May 2007.
