- The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) is soliciting proposals for one or more investment managers to provide asset management and liquidation services to PBGC for selected illiquid special situation assets. PBGC seeks proposals from firms that are registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission as an investment advisor investment for at least five years and that have provided similar services to at least one other institutional investor in the last three years. The period of performance for the base period plus all option periods, if exercised, will be six (6) years. The solicitation is not currently available, but is estimated to be available on or about May 2, 2007. The solicitation document, including any amendments, will be distributed through the FedBizOpps.gov web site. The site contains downloading instructions. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Paper copies of the solicitation and associated amendments will not be made available.
