- NASA/MSFC plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Instrument Unit Avionics DDT&E and Production. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See Note 26. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 541710 and 1000 employees, respectively. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. This pre-solicitation notice coincides with the release of a Draft RFP issued for Industry comments. The response due date identified in this synopsis is for the comments to the Draft RFP. Detailed information on the process to submit comments are contained in the attached DRFP cover letter. The anticipated release date of the final RFP is on or about June 6, 2007 with an anticipated proposal due date in accordance with the information provided in the Draft RFP. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See NASA Specific Note "B". The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. The Internet site, or URL, for the NASA/MSFC Business Opportunities home page is http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=D&pin=62 It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Any referenced notes may be viewed at the URLs linked below or included in the Draft RFP. A pre-solicitation conference will be held on April 30, 2007. Information on the conference and all questions shall be submitted in accordance with the instructions provided in the Draft RFP cover letter.
