- The United States Environmental Protection Agency intends to award a sole source fixed price contract for basic year period of May 22, 2007 through May 21, 2008 with the right to exercise 2 - one year option periods to PerkinElmer LAS, Inc. Shelton, CT for a service agreement renewal for Government owned PerkinElmer ELan 6000 Inductivity Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometer, Cooling System Model NESLABCHILLER, Pump Assembly Model PERISTALTICPUMP and Mass Software Model MASSOFTWARE.. This procurement is for two onsite preventive maintenance visits per contract period, certified PerkinElmer replacement parts, labor, and travel for all on-demand repairs, unlimited service calls, priority response time, and software updates and support. This vendor is also the original source and manufacturer of the subject equipment. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and award with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. ?Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements? at this time. All interested parties who believe that can provide the required services should fully explain their capabilities and qualification in writing within 10 days from the date of this announcement and provide pricing that is sufficient to make determination that competition is feasible. The intent of this synopsis is to determine if any sources(s) exists, therefore, no solicitation (RFP) is available. All responses or question regarding this posting must be in writing and can be sent via email to Rogers.Lisa@epa.gov. No phone calls will be accepted. This sole source procurement will be awarded as a simplified acquisition for commercial items in accordance with FAR Subpart 13.
