- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Div. Newport has a requirement for Test and Installation Support of a Underwater Camera System to be tested, integrated with interfacing hardware, then installed onboard submarines. The period of performance will be two years. This procurement will be awarded sole source to Konigsberg Maritime, Houston, TX. The basis for the sole source is that Konigsberg designed and developed the Underwater Camera System under contract N66604-06-C-1230 and the subject procurement is a follow on to this previous contract. As the designer and builder of this system, Konigsberg is the only company qualified to provide the necessary technical support. The solicitation will be available no earlier than 23 April 2007. The proposed action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source using SAP and commercial item procedures as set forth in FAR Parts 12 and 13. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received by the closing date will be considered by the Government. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
