- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. NUWCDIV Newport intends to issue a small business set aside fixed price solicitation for the following item: 6 ea. Electrical Hull Penetrator (5 POSN) Assemblies. Drawings will not be exhibited on our website due to restricted drawing distribution statements. This item must meet SUBSAFE requirements. Delivery shall be within 120 days from award to NUWC Newport, RI. To receive a copy, firms must be certified under the Joint Certification Program (JCP) managed for Defense Logistics Information Service, Battle Creek, MI as evidenced by a JCP Certification in the Business Identification Number Cross reference System (BINCS). Solicitation will be issued in less than 15 days per FAR 5.203(a)&(h). The solicitation will be made available no earlier than 23 April 2007. Our department no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. Instead, they may be accessed at our web site http://www.npt.nuwc.navy.mil/contract/. We also provide electronic access in our Bid Room.
