- The Naval Sea Systems Command, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, plans to award a sole source modification under the existing contract N00167-06-M-5542, in accordance with FAR 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The contract is for an extended surface surveillance system to be used by LANTFLT aircraft carriers. This modification is necessary due to a change in location of the system, which will require additional components and supporting equipment. These additional components must integrate with Torrey Pines Logic?s proprietary control software. The anticipated modification to the current contract will increase the ceiling by approximately $170,000. There is no change in the period of performance. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within fifteen days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
