- This is a solicitation for commercial items to be acquired under FAR 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This announcement is the only solicitation. A written solicitation will not be issued. Quotes are being requested. Solicitation FA8751-07-Q-0261 is issued as a REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ). Offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of any amendments or other pertinent information. The incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 200516 and DCN 20070327. This RFQ is issued as a total small business set-aside under NAICS code 423620 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. The SIC is 3679. The FSC is 5836. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price contract in accordance with Simplified Acquisition Procedures as a result of this RFQ to the responsible offeror whose quote is the most advantageous based on price, technical capability, and past performance. Offerors are not required to submit past performance information since it may be obtained by the Government from sources both inside and outside the Government. The Government reserves the right to make multiple awards as a result of this RFQ but only if it is determined to be in the best interest of the Government. There will be a highly recommended SITE VISIT scheduled for 10:00 AM WED 25 APRIL 07 in Building 3. The street address is 525 Brooks Rd, Rome NY 13441-4505. This also includes a preventative maintenance inspection six months into the first year. The brand name items are required due to their compatibility with existing hardware and software. The Polycom VTC is standardized at AFRL Rome. The standardization is more cost effective for the Government with regard to long term maintenance, parts interchange, training for operators and technicians, and administration. Offerors shall provide at least the same warranty terms, including extended warranties, offered to the general public in customary commercial practice. The estimated delivery date is 30 days after contract award. The FOB destination point is AFRL/IF, Rome, NY. The following provisions and/or clauses apply to this acquisition. This list is not intended to be exhaustive. FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors- Commercial. Offerors must comply with all instructions. FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation-Commercial Items, with price, technical capability, and past performance as the evaluation factors with equal importance. FAR 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items will be incorporated into any resultant Purchase Order by reference. FAR 52.204-7 Central Contractor Registration.
