- Description
- The VA Northern California Contracting Activity (CCA) is issuing a Commercial Item Request for Proposal (RFP) in accordance with FAR 12.203 to provide for the rental of a portable 270 ton air cooled chiller, electrically operated, with independent controls, pumps, etc. to be located adjacent to building 702 at the VA Sacramento Medical Center, Mather California. Chiller must be fully operational from 1 Jun - 30 Sep (4 months) of each year (solicitation will contain two (4 month) option year periods 1 Jun - 30 Sep 2008 and 2009) Contractor is to provide set-up that includes providing all plumbing and electrical cabling required to provide cooling through building 702 chilled water system (connect to existing inlet and return connections); electrical connections to be made by way of a VA provided 480 volt / 3 phase circuit breaker of sufficient size in building 701. (Contractor is not responsible for the cost of utilities to operate the chiller). Contractor is also to provide all maintenance and repairs required during the contract period at no cost to the government. If problems arise with the chiller, contractor is to respond within 2 hours of being called by VA staff. The solicitation has been set aside for Service Disabled, Veteran Owned Small Businesses (see numbered note #29). NAICS code 238220 applies. The solicitation number for this RFP is VA-261-07-RP-0063. Solicitations will be issued o/a April 18, 2007; copies of the RFP will be posted on FedBizOpps or can be requested by e-mail at randy.hays@va.gov if contractor cannot access the web site. Proposals must be received by April 25, 2007, 3:00 pm Pacific Time. Proposals shall be submitted electronically to randy.hays@va.gov.
