- Description
- The Ochoco National Forest anticipates issuing a RFP (request for proposals) for mechanized and hand construction for the Payten Trail (one contract). Major work items include clearing and grubbing, excavation, construction of drain dips and rock fords, water bars, and rock cairns on 3.72 miles of trail. Work will begin at the end of the Cottonwood Trail and finish at the Black Canyon Trail. The trail resides in both wilderness and non-wilderness areas, so the use of hand tools and mechanized equipment will be required. A RFP will be available around May 1, 2007 with offers due 30 days later.
