- Description
- The U.S. Forest Service is seeking to buy various varieties of pure live seed, (PLS), to re-seed a burned area. In the Ely Ranger District of the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. Seed will be delivered to Ely. Competetive proposals will be due to the Contracting Officer on approximately 05/14/07, (see Request for Proposals/Solicitation when posted, for details). The technical point of contact for information regarding the seeds themselves is David Palmer in the Ely Ranger District. His E-mail is dmpalmer@fs.fed.us. Questions regarding the Solicitation and administrative matters should be directed to the Contracting Officer at sroehr@fs.fed.us. Award is expected to be made on initial proposals. The estimated magnitude for this total procurement is between $100,000 and $250,000. The seed varieties sought are Sandberg Bluegrass (poa secunda) (1405 lbs), Lewis Blue Flax (linium lewisil)(421 lb), Squirreltail (elymus elymoides)(2,810 lb), Indian Ricegrass (achnatherum hymenoides)(3,513 lbs), and Bluebunch Wheatgrass (pseudorogmeria spicata ssp. spicata)(3,512 lb). The seed must be PLS, and must meet the applicable certifications of the State of Nevada. Prices proposed shall be FOB destination. A fully delivered price. Preference will be given to suppliers who can deliver all of the varieties, in the quantities needed. Please register for E-mail Updates.
