Description

Pre-Solicitation Notice: Paving Center Hill, Cordell Hull, and Dale Hollow INVITATION FOR BID FOR A REQUIREMENTS CONTRACT FOR THE U.S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS, NASHVILLE DISTRICT FOR PAVING AT VARIOUS RECREATION AREAS LOCATED AT CENTER HILL, CORDELL HULL, and DALE HOLLOW. The Corps of Engineers (COE), Nashville District, Nashville, TN intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) under NAICS code 237310 Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction. This requirement is FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION. The estimated value of the contr act is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The duration of the contract is three (3) years (Base + 2 option years). The contractor will be required to furnish all equipment, labor, and materials required for asphalt paving, patching, repair, and guardrail installation at various recreation areas at Center Hill, Cordell Hull, and Dale Hollow. The solicitation including p lans and specifications will be available electronically through this web site @ http://www.fedbizopps.gov. All amendments will be issued through the same site. The solicitation cited above can only be obtained by using a secure website known as the Fede ral Technical Data Solution (FedTeDS). FedTeDS is a web-based dissemination tool designed to safeguard sensitive but unclassified acquisition-related information for all Federal agencies. It is fully integrated with other electronic government initiatives such as Federal Business Opportunities (FEDBIZOPPS) and the Central Contract Registration (CCR) databases. In order to obtain information from FedTeDS, you will first be required to register with CCR at http://www.ccr.gov. The CCR database is a part of the Business Partner Network, an e-gov initiative, and it will be used to validate vendor identity. Effective October 1, 2003, all government contractors must be registered in CCR prior to receiving an award. No federal materials can be downloaded until you have registered under both sites. Plans and specifications will not be provided in hard paper copy. The solicitation and any amendments will be issued via Internet only. It is the contractors responsibility to check FedTeDS at www.fedteds.gov daily for a ny posted changes. In addition to the above, contractors are also required to be registered in the On-Line Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) at http://orca.bpn.gov prior to award. All offerors are encouraged to visit the Armys Single Fa ce to Industry Website at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi to view other business opportunities. All pertinent information will be posted on the web site. E-mail notification will be sent upon issuance of any amendments to all registered firms. Since e- mail notification may not be reliable based on system constraints, it is recommended that each registered firm check the website daily for updates. Hard copies of the amendments will not be mailed. Telephone requests or e-mails from the purchasing agent for amendments will not be issued. Posting of Solicitation,technical specifications, and bid schedules will be approximately 3-May 2007. The exact date of bid opening will be announced in the solicitation.
