- Description
- Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD), is procuring 2 COMET 18-month network licenses including STAR-CCM+ solvers. NSWCCD intends to negotiate a non-competitive procurement using Simplified Acquisition Procedures and award a firm-fixed price purchase order to Adapco. NSWCCD is currently using COMET as its calculation tool for wave impact loads. Changing and/or utilizing another CFD tool would not be cost effective and will delay safer craft designs to the fleet. A determination by the Government to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Interested parties may forward their capabilities statements to the Government POC on or before 04/24/07.
