- Description
- The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Vicksburg Consolidated Contracting Office has a requirement for Diving Services to be performed on or before 14 May 2007 at Jonesville Lock and Dam, Catahoula Parish, Louisiana. The work consist of replacing a damag ed or missing section of stop log bearing rail in the upstream dam stop log slot of tainter gate bay number four on the Jonesville Dam. The bearing railing is missing or damaged from approximately 9 feet below the normal pool water surface to approximately 15 feet below the normal pool water surface. A general description of work shall include inspection of the damaged or missing rail, removal of any damaged rail using underwater burning procedures, surface preparation of the embedded rail bearing plate to receive the new rail section, and welding of the rail section to the rail bearing plate using underwater welding techniques.
