- Description
- The Air Force Flight Test Center, Edwards Air Force Base, CA, is seeking sources for a handheld personnel and equipment tracking transmitter with navigation software including a digital map with the capability to interface with Max stream-PKG-E Ethernet RF/GPS receiver modem with a 900 MHz range with an accuracy of the track point of +/-5 meters. The GPS handheld transmitter must be capable of GPS signal acquisition and locked performance (cold start time and the time to acquire three and five satellite fix positioning) of less than 1-2 second (3-D state). Mapping software shall have the following capabilities: all GPS functions such as signal acquisition, tracking, tracking logs, real time tracking over 100 vehicles/personnel, manual inputting trace-ID number, call sing, mouse activated icon window over map, and export data to an excel for conventional view. This posting is for planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for bid or proposals. It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this synopsis. Responses shall be limited to 15 pages and should include, as a minimum: evidence of past experience in this field, related projects and/or existing systems, and business size.
