Description
1) Type of Notification: Sources Sought This is a sources sought synopsis only. The purpose of this sources sought synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources. Responses to this notice shall include the following: (a)company name (b) address (c) point of contact (d) number of employees as defined by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 19.101 and (e) the amount of annual receipts as defined by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 19. In addition, the respondent must provide a capability statement that addresses the organization?s qualifications and ability to perform as a prime contractor for the work described below. 2) Description: Non-Personal Services (Epidemiologist) The following is a brief summary of the primary duties that the Epidemiologist must perform. This list is not all inclusive, Assist with the surveillance and epidemiology of all aspects of trainee health in both the Basic Military Trainee (BMT) and Technical Training Student populations at Lackland AFB and across the Air Education and Training Command (AETC). Medical causes of attrition from training shall be identified and analyzed for appropriate intervention and prevention efforts so as to maximize training time, manpower, and dollars within the AETC, United States Air Force, and the Department of Defense (DoD). 3) Qualifications: The potential candidate for this requirement must possess a Master of Public Heath (MPH) or a Master of Science (MS) degree and have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in their field within the last four (4) years. 4) Place of Performance: These services would be performed at Wilford Hall Medical Center and/or military installations in San Antonio, TX.
