- The South Veterans Health Care System, Audie L. Murphy Division, 7400 Merton Minter Blvd., San Antonio, TX 78229-4404, IAW 6.302-1, intends to negotiate sole source with CardiaSpectra, Inc., to purchase a Phase-Sensitive Nanoparticle Imaging OCT System for support of VA Merit Grant "Identification of vulnerable plaque with "Optical coherence tomography" . The System includes rapidly tunable laser source; common-path interferometer; X-Y (lateral) specimen scanning optics; phase-sensitive, polarization-sensitive, and Doppler-sensitive detection; acquisition and processing electronic subsystem; and host PC with data storage and display. Target Specs: A-Scan Rate= 20kHz; Resolution<=10um(in air); Center Wavelength = 1310nm. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals or a solicitation/request for offerors. No solicitation package is available. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Interested parties have five (5) days from the date of this posting to submit their qualifications and capabilities in writing. Such qualifications and capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis.
