- This amendment to the pre-solicitation notice is issued to 1) add language to the project summary, 2) clarify what the base and options items consist of, 3) revise the date for the pre-proposal conference, and 4) revise the anticipated release date of the RFP and due date for proposals. 1) The Project Summary is hereby changed to read: PROJECT SUMMARY: The WRRC Phase 3a Modernization will consist of selective demolition and a partial 3,000 square foot renovation of an occupied laboratory/office building including Hazardous Material Abatement, Architectural, Structural HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Controls, and Fire Detection/Suppression. 2) The Base Item and Optional Items are defined as follows: Base Bid scope of work provides for renovation of an open lab area into four Base Research Units (offices). This work includes Hazardous Material Abatement, Architectural, Structural HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Controls, Fire Detection/Suppression work associated with new rooms I-102, I-105, I-106, I-107, I-108, and other associated areas as indicated on the contract drawings. Optional Bid Item No.1 scope of work provides for renovation of existing office and corridor areas into a research laboratory. This work includes Hazardous Material Abatement, Architectural, Structural HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Controls, Fire Detection/Suppression work associated with new room F302 and other associated areas as indicated on the contract drawings. Optional Bid Item No.2 scope of work provides for renovation of existing office and corridor areas into a research laboratory. This work includes Hazardous Material Abatement, Architectural, Structural HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Controls, Fire Detection/Suppression work associated with new rooms F304, F306 and other associated areas as indicated on the contract drawings. The estimated price range for the entire (i.e., base item plus both option items) Phase 3A project is $1 to $2 million. 3) The pre-proposal conference and site visit will be conducted on or about May 23, 2007. 4) Plans and Specifications will NOT be uploaded to FedBizOpps. They will ONLY be available in hard copy format and will be available for purchase on or about May 1, 2007. The proposal due date will be on or about June 13, 2007.
