- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT TO ATLANTIC MICROWAVE CORPORATION UNDER AUTHORITY OF FAR 13.106-1 (b) Item Name: 001 VHF Antenna COM228 Qty: 6. The antenna must have the following characteristics: - Stacked, two port omnidirectional antenna specifically designed for quick deployment and ease of operation. - Mounted in a stacked configuration for maximum isolation, and covers the 30-88 MHz band without external tuning. - Quick assembly and disassembly for transport or storage. - Tripod legs collapse and can be either removed or folded up parallel to the lower radiating section. - The entire assembly must stow in no more then 3 transport bags, and not exceed a total weight of 60 pounds. - Must be designed for 200 Watts of CW Power, and has a VSWR of less than 3.5:1 at the input connector. - The antenna must have an omnidirectional radiation pattern in the azimuth plane and a figure eight pattern in the elevation plane. - Maximum power will be directed towards the horizon. - Typical antenna gain is +2dB relative to an isotropic source. - Total Height 182 inches - Widest Dia 4.5 inches - RF Connectors (2) Type N Female Name of Contractor: Atlantic Microwave Corporation 58 Mains St Bolton Massachusetts 01740 The value of the contract is expected to be under $56,000.00. The item that is requested is the only item that meets the requirement with the specifications provided above. This purchase will be under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized under FAR 6.302-1 Para: 4. The anticipated award date is April 13, 2007. The Government will consider all EOIs received prior to 3 days after date of publication of this synopsis before 4:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time on that date. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Rawls at (760) 725-8445. The facsimile transmission must clearly identify this notice and the name of the contracting officer on the first page. Submitters bear the burden of ensuring that the EOI reaches the designated contracting officer on time and should allow a reasonable time for facsimile transmissions to be completed. All pages of the transmission must reach the office before the deadline specified and pages of a facsimile transmission that arrive in the office after the specified deadline will not be considered. The submitter bears the risk of non-receipt of facsimile transmissions and should confirm by telephone that any facsimile was received.
