- Description
- The U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center has a requirement to procure 24 each Modified Block Assemblies from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Welin Lambie. These modified Block Assemblies shall retrofit the Block Assemblies currently installed on the Dual Point systems installed onboard the 210?, 270?, and 378? class Coast Guard cutters. All engineering and technical information is proprietary to Welin Lambie. It is the Government?s belief that only Welin Lambie, the Original Equipment Manufacturer, can successfully manufacture the modified Block Assemblies to ensure form, fit, and function compatibility, therefore it is the Government?s intent to solicit and negotiate only with Welin Lambie. Concerns having the expertise and required capabilities to furnish the above items are invited to submit complete information discussing the same within 10 calendar days from the day this notice is posted. The information that must be submitted includes: (1) Complete and current engineering data to demonstrate the acceptability of the offered block system (i.e., salient physical, functional, and performance characteristics) and/or (2) Data that the offered block system has been satisfactorily manufactured for the Government or the Original Equipment Manufacturer. This data must include sufficient information to allow the Coast Guard to evaluate the information relative to the above requirements. The submission of this data for review shall not impede award of this contract. The Government does NOT intend to pay for information solicited. Inquiries/information received after the established deadline shall NOT be considered for this acquisition. This synopsis is issued pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 and HSAM 3006.302-1.
