Description

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Region 6, Lakewood, Colorado will be requesting proposals from qualified and eligible firms capable of providing all labor, equipment, and materials to construct 1. 2.5 miles of 4-wire boundary fence and 0.31 miles of 3-wire interior fence at the Meidinger Waterfowl Production Area (WPA), Kulm, North Dakota; 2. 0.235 miles of 4-wire boundary fence at the Geiszler WPA; 3. and 3.75 miles of 4-wire boundary fence at the Kempf WPA in accordance witht attached specifications, drawings, attachments, bid schedule, and as directed by the Contracting Officer. In addition, this project includes 4. the removal of 1.95 miles of existing fence at the Meidinger WPA and 5. 3.15 miles of existing fence at the Kempf WPA. All existing fencing materials shall be legally disposed of by the Contractor at an off site disposal facility. The prosed fence line traverses terrain that may be wet, sandy or uneven. There may be a number of small drainages, rises and falls, and rocky or compacted soils. Prospective offerors are encouraged to inspect the site. The on site contact information will be provided in the RFP package. All questions regarding subject requirement shall be submitted in writing and either faxed or mailed to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, attention MaeMarie I. Alarid, P.O. Box 25486, DFC, Denver, CO 80225. The Fax number is 303-236-4791. Please include the solicitation number 60181-7-R545, your company name and address, telephone and contact name and fax number. The period of performance shall be 5 months after notice to proceed. The NAICS #238990; the magnitude of the project is between $25k and $100k. This is a full and open competition. Offerors will be evaluated on past performance and price. Two references for similar work in the past 3 years will be required. Effective October 2003, all contractors must be registered on the CCR website as an active vendor in order to be eligible for an award and to receive payments against an existing award. On line representations and certifications application (ORCA); Effective January 1, 2005, all potential contractors are required to log into ORCA, online representations and certifications; www.bpn.gov. This RFP is to be posted on FedBzOpps on or about April 23, 2007 and a closing date on or about May 16, 2007.
