Description

The principal components of the work consists of: 1) Repair up to 150 square feet of damaged coatings on the interior of the 39-inch diameter steel discharge pipe, 2)Trim asbestos bearing pads at the pipe supports to eliminate exposure of the pads in excess of 1/4-inch outside of the concrete outline, 3)Recoat exterior of the 39-inch steel discharge pipe from Station 5+08 to Station 9+42, 4) Recoat exterior of 4-inch steel bypass pipe from flange at Station 5+00 to reducer near Station 5+13 and 5) Recoat exterior of 6-inch steel bypass pipe from the reducer near Station 5+13 to embedment point at Station 9+42. The estimated price range of the work is between $100,000 and $250,000. Solicitation packages are estimated to be available May 1, 2007. Requests should be received on or before May 15, 2007. The bid opening is tenatively scheduled for June 1, 2007 and will be held at the Rapid City Field Office, 515 Ninth Street, Room 101, Rapid City, South Dakota. There is no charge for the first copy of the solicitation, additional copies will be provided upon receipt of a nonrefundable check or money order of $9.00 each. After issuance, the solicitations may be viewed without charge, at the Bureau of Reclamation, Great Plains Regional Office, Room 2035, 316 North 26th Street, Billings, Montana and the Bureau of Reclamation, Rapid City Field Office, 515 Ninth Street, Room 101, Rapid City, South Dakota. Prospective offerors desiring to visit the work site should make arrangements with Mr. Gene Harms, Rapid City Field Office, Rapid City, South Dakota, telephone 605-394-9757 ext. 3002. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the Bureau of Reclamation. The NAICS Code is 238190. The Small Business size standard is $13 million. The specifications and drawings will not be posted to the internet; however, a complete solicitation package is availabe in hard copy. To request a hard copy of the solicitation, contractors must fax a request to 406-247-7798, Attn: Hart BlackEagle. The requestor must include the contractor's name, address, phone/fax number, Federal tax identification and Dun and Bradstreet number. NOTE: Effective October 1, 2003, any contractor interested in doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR).
