Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District, has a need for a Contract for Drydock and Repair of the Government owned and operated floating crane, Derrickboat 65. The work consists of fur nishing all plant, labor, materials, equipment and transportation to move and make the required repairs to the subject service vessel. The vessel is used in the maintenance and repair of navigation structures for the Pittsburgh District Army Corps of Engin eers. The floating crane is made of all steel, welded const ruction and was built by Nashville Bridge Company in 1994. The dimensions are as follows: Displacement (@75% tankage): 475 Short Tons; LOA: 74-0; Molded Beam: 52-0; Depth Amidships (@side): 8-9. T he timeframe for work is 5/21/07 through 6/22/07. This procurement is advertised as UNRESTRICTED. The Invitation For Bid (IFB) is available only on-line through FedTeDS; therefore, requests for hard copies of the specifications will not be honored.
