- On or about 24 April 2007, this office will issue Invitations for Bid for construction of the Bank Stabilization Huff Quad Archeological Site, Oahe Reservoir, Morton County, North Dakota. The solicitation will close on or about 24 May 2007. This solicitation is RESTRICTED TO HISTORICALLY UNDERUTILIZED BUSINESS ZONE or HUBZONE SMALL BUSINESS PARTICIPATION. This project is set-aside under the Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) Program. To be considered for award, successful bid der must be a certified HUBZone contractor. Status as a qualified HUBZone small business concern is determined by the Small Business Administration (SBA) in accordance with 13 CFR part 126. If the SBA determines that a concern is a qualified HUBZone smal l business concern, it will issue a certification to that effect and will add the concern to the List of Qualified HUBZone Small Business Concerns on its Internet website at http://www.sba.gov/hubzone. DO NOT submit requests for plans and specifications to the site visit personnel listed above. See Obtaining Solicitation Documents below. Project Description: (Approx. quantities) The Basic package of this work consists of shaping approximately 2,500 lineal feet of shoreline with random fill and placing approximately 3200 SY of geotextile fabric and 12,500 tons of Riprap to protect the arch site from further erosion. Option 1 to thi s work consists of shaping an additional 3800 lineal feet of shoreline and placing 4800 SY of geotextile fabric and 13,400 tons of additional riprap. The estimated construction cost of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the work 120 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. Bonding documents including the power of attorney shall bear an original signature by an officer of the surety. Obtaining Solicitation Documents: This office will no longer send copies via paper or CDs of amendments and solicitations to interested parties.
